How does the MACD + RSI + ADX Strategy (ChatGPT-powered) by TradeSmart strategy work ?
The MACD + RSI + ADX Strategy developed by TradeSmart integrates popular indicators to establish entry and exit points for trades. It's designed to trigger long positions when the price is above the SMA, a bullish cross on the MACD is observed (histogram color changes from red to green), the RSI exceeds 50, trading volume surpasses a volume-based EMA, and the ADX indicates a trend strength that is neither too weak nor too strong (between 20 and 50) and also sits above the REMA.
Conversely, short positions are signaled under opposite conditions: price below SMA, bearish MACD cross (green to red), RSI below 50, volume above EMA, and ADX confirming the trend as previously described.
For exits, a stop-loss is set using a factor of the Average True Range (ATR) value, take-profit is established at a 2.5 risk/reward ratio, and early exit is determined based on momentum shifts indicated by the Squeeze Momentum Indicator.
Strategy parameters, including indicator settings and risk management options (ATR-based Stop Loss and Risk to Reward Ratio), can be adjusted. Trade position sizing utilizes a 'Risk Percentage (current)' system, factoring in the available capital and leverage.
Additionally, the strategy allows customization of trend filters for long positions and visual aid for easier interpretation. Entry and exit strategies can be modified to accommodate a variety of trading styles and market conditions.
