How does the CCI+EMA Strategy with Percentage or ATR TP/SL [Alifer] strategy work ?
This strategy leverages the Commodity Channel Index (CCI) for gauging momentum, aiming to enter long trades when the market is oversold and short trades when overbought. An Exponential Moving Average (EMA) can be enabled to filter trades, allowing entries only in the direction of the prevailing trend. Though the strategy's EMA isn't plotted, you can manually add an EMA to your chart for verification.
- CCI Indicator: Utilized to identify market conditions as overbought or oversold. Customize the overbought and oversold levels based on historical peaks for your selected asset and timeframe.
- EMA Filter: When enabled, ensures trades are only taken in the direction of the current trend (above EMA for long positions and below for shorts).
- Take Profit and Stop Loss: Choose between percentage-based or ATR-based methods. Percentage-based TP/SL are fixed at user-defined levels, whereas ATR-based adjusts according to market volatility, using a multiplier to set dynamic levels.
This flexible strategy can be adapted across various assets and timeframes by tuning CCI levels and TP/SL methods tailored to specific trading styles.
