How does the Bybit EMA RSI Strategy strategy work ?
This strategy combines a trend-following indicator with a momentum oscillator to pinpoint entries. It uses two Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs)—one fast, one slow—to determine the primary trend. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is then used to confirm the signal by identifying overbought or oversold conditions, helping to avoid entries into already exhausted moves.
- Long Entry: A buy signal is generated when the fast EMA crosses above the slow EMA, indicating an uptrend. The entry is only confirmed if the RSI is below a specified lower threshold (oversold territory).
- Short Entry: A sell signal occurs when the fast EMA crosses below the slow EMA, signaling a downtrend. This is confirmed only if the RSI is above a specified upper threshold (overbought territory).
A key feature is that it automatically adjusts commission fees in its calculations based on your Bybit account level, ensuring backtest results are more personalized and realistic.
