How does the Combo 2/20 EMA & Average True Range Reversed strategy work ?
The Combo 2/20 EMA & Average True Range Reversed strategy combines two distinct approaches to generate cumulative signals on TradingView.
- First Strategy: It utilizes the 2/20 Exponential Moving Average (EMA). The EMA is calculated and plotted on the price chart, and specific bars are highlighted when the alert criteria is met, indicating a potential entry or exit signal.
- Second Strategy: Developed by Sylvain Vervoort, this is an Average True Range (ATR) Trailing Stops Strategy. It calculates ATR over a specified period and applies a multiplier to set trailing stops. The stops adjust dynamically as the price changes, helping to identify stop-loss points with respect to market volatility.
The strategy paints bars according to signal directions, helping traders visualize potential trend directions. It also provides options to execute trades in reverse if desired, allowing flexibility in different market conditions.
