How does the TTP Intelligent Accumulator strategy work ?
The Intelligent Accumulator is a hybrid strategy that improves upon simple recurring buys by using technical analysis to time entries and exits. Instead of buying at fixed intervals regardless of price, it accumulates a position only when specific TA conditions are met.
Here’s how it operates by default:
- Entry: It adds to your position when the RSI (7) drops below its lower Bollinger Band, signaling a potential oversold opportunity. You can configure it to only add funds when the position is at a loss, effectively averaging down your cost basis.
- Exit: It begins to exit the position when the RSI crosses above its upper Bollinger Band, indicating an overbought condition. You can set it to take all profits at once or distribute the exit across multiple orders.
The strategy is designed to be flexible, allowing you to replace the default RSI/BB conditions with your own external entry and exit signals.
